Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacious will be fit for Honduras’ opening World Cup game after an injury scare.

 

The former Birmingham and Wigan star picked up a shin problem in a friendly match with Romania at the weekend, but the injury turned out to be not as serious as first feared and he’s in line to face Chile on June 16.

Worryingly though from Honduras’ point of view is that they go into the tournament without form, having lost 3-0 to the Romanians.

Prior to that game they could only manage a goalless draw with Azerbaijan.
