Neville Nearing ComebackLong serving Manchester United defender and captain Gary Neville is close to a return to first team action after being out injured for almost a year. He played his longest game for a year on Wednesday when Man Utd reserves played Sunderland. He played 73 minutes in the 1-0 defeat and showed signs that a comeback is not all that far away. Gary Neville has been injured with a problem in his ankle and some groin injuries. He admitted that it was great to be back on the playing field and that he can’t wait to get back into the first team. During the match with Sunderland on Wednesday Neville could of got a goal when he was within inches of beating the keeper. Neville picked up the injury when he was playing for Man Utd against Bolton last year only 11 minutes into the game. He is now back training with the first team squad. He says that he enjoys playing with the reserves and that he intends to train hard and get match fit again.
