Netherlands coach Foppe de Haan is confident the Jong Oranje has it in them to retain the title they lifted a year ago in Portugal. The Dutch bandwagon is all set to keep rolling on as they take on last years' hosts Portugal in the second game in the ongoing UEFA European Under 21 Championship on June 13.

The game will be played in Groningen and is all set to be a thriller simply because the Portugal team wants to put last year's memories of a home defeat behind them. Portugal coach José Couceiro has a wonderfully talented team at his disposal.

Miguel Veloso, João Moutinho, Yannick Djaló and Nani will all look to set the tournament alight as they look to carve out a name for themselves on the international stage. For Nani, the UEFA Euro Under-21 Championship is a perfect launch pad to showcase his vast potential and show people why Manchester United were willing to go the extra mile to get his signature.

Everton midfielder Manuel Fernandes and Werder Bremen striker Hugo Almeida are also men to watch out for in the 23-man Portugal team. "Last season was a huge disappointment and we don't want a repeat," Portugal coach José Couceiro said on the eve of his team's game against Belgium. No doubt this sentiment is shared by the rest of the proud Portugal line-up.

The Netherlands on the other hand will look to make sure they do not lose their first game as they did last year. Captain Ron Vlaar and playmaker Ismaïl Aissati  are the only players to survive the age limitation this year and the Dutch are sure to miss the services of Nicky Hofs, Romeo Castelen and Klaas Jan Huntelaar. The latter will be especially missed as his goal scoring abilities are stuff of legend from last time around.

But Netherlands coach Foppe de Haan has moved on and is hoping his team has also done so. Kenneth Vermeer, Arnold Kruiswijk, Ron Vlaar, Ismaïl Aissati, Haris Medunjanin and Daniël de Ridder are the experienced team members in that they won the championship last time in Portugal.
