Netherlands squad announcedSevilla defender Khalid Boulahrouz became the last player to face the axe as Marco Van Basten announced his final 23 member squad for the Euro 2008 Netherlands team. Boulahrouz was called up after Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf announced his withdrawal from Van Basten's initial provisional squad of 30. Apart from Boulahrouz, Urby Emanuelson, Kew Jaliens, Hedwiges Mauro, Danny Koevermans, Sander Boschker and Denny Landzaat were the other players in the 30 member squad who were removed from the squad by Van Basten at various stages during the month of May. Orlando Engelaar retains his place for Euro 2008, and so do Mario Melchiot and Andre Ooijer.
