The Netherlands put on an impressive show as they beat Ukraine 3-0 in an international friendly in Rotterdam. The goals came from Dirk Kuyt, Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Ryan Babel. The Dutch were playing without several first team regulars- Robben, Van der Sar, Sneijder, Van Nistelrooy and Robin Van Persie were all absent. But they were hardly given any trouble by  Ukraine, and ran out fairly comfortable winners in the end. FC Twente’s Orlando Engelaar had a good game in midfield, rarely giving the ball away, and his performance would not have gone unnoticed by Van Basten.

Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, connecting with an excellent cross from Van Bronckhorst. Playmaker Rafael Van der Vaart was the provider of the other two goals, setting up Huntelaar and substitute Ryan Babel in the 38th and 63rd minutes respectively. Holland's next friendly is against Denmark in Eindhoven on Thursday.
