The Ghana FA has reprimanded midfielder Sulley Muntari after his angry reaction following their 1-1 draw with Australia.

 

He argued with coach Milovan Rajevak but the FA has decided against sending him home. Muntari has had previous disciplinary problems and missed the African Cup of Nations following a similar row. However, following an apology and the player reaffirming his commitment to the cause, a reprimand was considered sufficient punishment.

Ghana still have a good chance to progress further in the competition providing they achieve a decent result against Germany in their final Group D match on Wednesday.
