Moyes Plays It CalmFollowing the win by a single goal at the DW Stadium on Saturday, Everton boss David Moyes is approaching the up-and-coming Merseyside derby with caution. ![]() Three wins on the bounce has regurgitated thoughts of a Europa League spot and with players returning to fitness and form, the fans expectations have naturally risen. However, Moyes knows that the Toffees still have a long way to go this campaign. He said: “We hoped we would have been in and around it before the season started, but the start we had to the season probably makes it a real long shot. We can’t be aiming too high too soon. We’ll wait and see how we go over the coming months and we have a tough month to come.” Phil Neville also recognises the challenges that still lie ahead for the squad at Goodison Park. Ahead of a tough fixture list during the month, the ex-Manchester United star said “This February will probably be the biggest month since I’ve been at the club because of the magnitude of each game we will be playing in. “Each will be so important in terms of picking up points. We are coming up against these teams knowing how well we are playing and that we’ve got good chance of winning.” Tags: Everton, David Moyes, Europa League, Toffees, Phil Neville, Goodison Park Posted: |
