23 year old Chelsea defender Nuno Morais has completed a move to Apoel Nicosia the current Cypriot champions signing a 2 year deal with the club. Morais moved to Chelsea in August 2004 from FA Penafiel but failed to gain a regular first team spot at Chelsea. Morais’s Chelsea history was summed up in his last appearance. The Chelsea defender appeared on Wednesday 9^th May as a substitute after 88 minutes in the goalless draw with Manchester United. He didn’t even get to touch the ball. Morais hopes he can make a bigger impact with Apoel Nicosia and return to first team football.
