Money Matters For MowbrayWest Brom manager Tony Mowbray was encouraged by his sides display in earning a hard won point against Bolton but knows that the Baggies are up against it in more than one area in respect of Premier League survival. ![]() Cash talks and the Hawthorns side cannot boast the wealth of talent that can be found elsewhere in England’s top league. However, Mowbray doesn’t consider that all the money spent necessarily leads to a corresponding difference on the pitch. “I don't think it is a level playing field, yet I don't see the gulf on the pitch" said the former centre half, “we are playing Bolton who have got a near £10million player (Johan Elmander) playing against us. We are a team who have come up into the Premier League…but we have never spent £10million on a footballer.” Meanwhile, Doncaster Rovers midfielder Brian Stock is reported to be on Mowbrays summer shopping list. The 27-year old Welsh international is contacted until 2011 but is believed to think his future lies away from the Keepmoat Stadium. Mowbray, however, may face strong competition from West Country rivals Wolves to capture the signature of the playmaker.
