Nigeria’s Dickson Etuhu and Yakubu Aiyegbeni offered differing perspectives on the Super Eagles campaign to date.

Etuhu bemoaned the lack of high-altitude training before Nigeria’s 1-0 defeat to Argentina in Johannesburg, saying: “You could tell Argentina had been there quite a while but I took five or six steps and felt like I’d done a whole lap.”

Yakubu, meanwhile, praised Swedish coach Lars Lagerback, saying: “He has brought his own style and it is so good. We are getting better with every game.”

And Etuhu at least agreed that: “usually when I play for my country it isn’t this organised.”
