Mikael Looking To Spoil Fergie’s Party

Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre is looking forward to meeting up with old friends on Saturday. But the former Manchester United full back is in no mood to offer gifts.

A mid-week win for United would leave them within a point of claiming yet another title. Arsene Wengers men have previously won at Old Trafford to lift the trophy themselves and delaying any celebrations is high on the agenda. Despite being knocked out of the Champions League and suffering a heavy defeat to neighbours Chelsea. However, Silvestre believes that the Gunners can bounce back.

"It is always a game to look forward to," he said, "It will be tough going back there. We need to play like we started against Chelsea and make sure it goes our way when it comes to scoring goals. It is a good chance to prove to ourselves that we have got what it takes to fight and be on top of the league for next season. Players have to fight for their spots and show the boss they deserve to be there and have the will to defend Arsenal's colours."
