Lionel Messi should be fit in time for the 23^rd April when Barcelona take on Manchester United in the Champions League Semi Final First Leg.

Barcelona’s tricky forward has been suffering with injury over the past month but has been named on the team sheet to play against Recreativo Huelva at the weekend.

Messi has been out injured since 4^th March after he badly injured a muscle in his thigh against Celtic in the Champions League Quarter Final. He has since gone back to his homeland of Argentina to recover but is now deemed fit enough to play some part in the match at the weekend.

The news of Messi’s return to action will be a boost for Barcelona. They are without Ronaldinho for the rest of the season as he is out injured and will also be missing Carles Puyol for the first leg of the semi finals.

Other players who are slight doubts are Thierry Henry, Bojan Krkic and Andres Iniesta. Deco is also doubtful having missed the last month of action through injury, but may play some part in the first leg on the 23^rd April.
