With the end of the season close by, Bolton boss Gary Megson is hoping that he has not seen the last action from Ricardo Gardner for this campaign.

 

The Jamaican damaged a hamstring early into Wanderers match against Portsmouth and is a major doubt for next weekend at the very least. With Gardner having proven himself a very useful addition to the clubs goal-scoring ranks not withstanding his all-round contribution as a creative player, Megson knows the impact that could have on his sides run in. “He's our most creative player with the ball at his feet“ said the Trotters boss, “Hopefully it's not too bad."

The injury comes at a particularly concerning time for Megson as he is acutely aware that they are not yet safe from relegation. A six point gap with five games does not represent safety and Megson does not want to see a repeat of last season. "We are not out of the woods yet but I think we will be all right if we play as we can do. We need the right response from everyone at the club."
