Megson To Retain Danny For PushWith injuries still a concern, Bolton manager Gary Megson is reportedly set to dash defender Danny Shitu’s hopes of leaving the Reebok on loan. ![]() The former Watford player has failed to make the expected impact in the North West and was looking for first team football in the Championship either via his old team or through Alex McLeish who supposedly was seeking to bring the 28 year-old to St Andrews. However, with players thin on the ground, Megson is unlikely to let a fit Shitu to leave his defence without cover. Meanwhile, striker Kevin Davies has called for greater consistency from the squad to bolster their Premiership position. He is convinced that the Trotters can be better than their current mid-table position but need to perform better on a week-to-week basis to send them into the top ten and prevent them being dragged into the relegation battle.
