Match Winner Babel Confident Of Title ChallengeLiverpool winger Ryan Babel believes that the club can make a genuine title challenge this season. The 20 year old was speaking after he came off the substitute’s bench to score the winner against the current Premier League Champions, Manchester United last weekend. The 2-1 victory was the first time that the Reds had been defeated by their rivals since 2004. Babel said “This is a new season and we want to get off to a good start so this is an important goal for me and the team”. The Dutch international continued "We want to be able to compete until the end of the season and you have a better chance of doing that if you win games like this."
Babel joined the club from Ajax last season and endured a mixed campaign in his first season. He and the supporters will be hoping that he can repeat his recent match winning moments more often from now on.
