26 year old South Korean Park Ji-Sung has been a long term fixture on the injury list at English Premier League champions Manchester United. The player may now be sidelined until the beginning of next year with a prolonged knee injury which he picked up back in March. The international had surgery towards the end of last season but has since faced complications with his recovery.

Despite the injury Park has still travelled with the squad as they complete their pre season tour of Asia. Manchester United will visit Japan, Korea, Macau and China as they prepare for the upcoming season.  Park Ji-Sung has been with Premier League champions Manchester United since 2005 when he was signed by boss Ferguson from PSV Eindhoven. In recent months he has been kept company on the treatment table by Gary Neville and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, both players are now expected to return to training and begin the new season with the club. The only other long term injury worry is Louis Saha. He is expected to return to training in mid August following a lengthy lay off.
