In the last minutes Boro were actually denied a penalty when John O’Shea brought down Lee Dong-gook and as such the game slipped away from both teams. The man of the match award went to Emanuel Pogatetz who was excellent in back four.

This result means Man Utd are now needing to win every match until the end of the season to claim the title in the Premier League. They cannot afford another slip up especially with such a high price resting on the away game to Chelsea.
