Man City Want Ronaldinho

Premier League side Manchester City are one of a number of clubs to have joined the race to sign Barcelona play maker Ronaldinho.

It is understood that Manchester City used Saturday’s match against Chelsea to entertain Ronaldinho’s brother and agent Roberto Assis.

Rumours are rife that Ronaldinho could leave the Nou Camp in the summer and it is believed that Assis is drawing up a list of clubs his brother could join.

Another club that look to want to sign him are AC Milan, whose owner confirmed the club’s interest in the Brazilian play maker over the weekend. They are favourites to get him should he leave Barcelona.

AC Milan already have a large array of Brazilian talent on show in their team. They have goalkeeper Dida, Cafu, Kaka, Emerson and Ronaldo to name a few.

AC Milan’s rivals Inter are also expected to be interested in him and Chelsea have being linked with him for a couple of years now, so will be watching his situation closely.

Man City will no doubt be one of the least favourites to land the striker, who could cost around £20 million and would demand wages of well over £100,000 per week. Any move for the Brazilian would have to be given the go ahead by Thai owner Thaksin Shinawatra.
