Everton striker Louis Saha has given a boost to more than just David Moyes and the Toffee fans by penning a two year extension to his contract at Goodison Park. Team captain and fellow former Manchester United player Phil Neville is delighted that the Frenchman is staying a Blue.

 

Neville told the clubs website "He is our talisman, the one when you are looking for someone to pull something out of the bag, something special then he can do that. From the very first day he came to the club he has found a place where he loves playing football, the spirit and togetherness he has found really good.”

Saha has scored 15 times in 28 appearances this campaign, his latest a double strike to beat Chelsea. With his injury troubles apparently behind him, to the relief of David Moyes as well as the player himself, his influence on the form of the team cannot be underestimated. Neville himself added “If you are a centre-back in the Premier League then Louis is up there with Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba As one of the strikers you do not want to face.”
