West Ham have extended their summer transfer activity by signing Frederik Ljungberg from Arsenal. The transfer fee carries clauses which could see it rise up to £3 million for the Swedish captain. Ljungberg was a long term fixture at Arsenal. However, he follows Thierry Henry with a summer exit from a troubled club. Having played 325 games for Arsenal he has now signed a 4 year contract with the hammers. The 30 year old will join the lineup at Upton Park for the 2007-08 English Premier League season.
