Lee Leaves WanderersBolton have parted company with manager Sammy Lee by "mutual consent". The successor to Sam Allardyce has not enjoyed similar results to his former boss and has failed to lift Bolton out of the mire. The club currently sit second bottom in the English Premier League a position no longer acceptable for the board.
48 year old Sammy Lee took his first management position back in April when big Sam left to join Newcastle United. After only 6 months at the helm he is joined by general manager Frank McParland has also left the club.
Bolton Wanderers are now in the hunt for a replacement who can lift them out of the relegation zone and get the results their talent deserves. In the short term first team coach Ricky Sbragia will take temporary charge as the team travel to the Emirates Stadium for an uphill struggle against in form Arsenal.
As per usual names have already cropped up for the vacancy. Current favourite is ex Wigan manager Paul Jewell leading the list of potentials. Tags: Bolton, Sammy Lee, English Premier League, Paul Jewell Posted: |
