Wigan Athletic are looking to strengthen their squad with two Honduran stars on the radar of Latics boss Roberto Martinez.

 

19-year old Roger Rojas, who currently plays for Olimpia, was reportedly watched by representatives of the club whilst on international duty. The striker is widely considered to be one of the brightest prospects in the Honduran game. His team-mate, Johnny Palacios - brother of former Latic Wilson Palacios - is also on Martinez’s shopping list and is expected to take his place on the plane to South Africa along with his countrymen next summer.

Martinez is keen for his squad to show similar form away from home to that which they are showing at the DW Stadium. The visit to White Hart Lane will give them their first opportunity to do this. "I feel it was always going to be up and down for the first half of the season simply because there was such a big turnaround in the playing staff.” said Martinez. "There has been a big change in philosophy as well as the staff and that is why the inconsistency is there."
