29 year old England and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has stated that he wishes to spend the rest of his playing career with Chelsea. The statement comes at the same time as the player chose to delay contract renewal talks until the end of the season. Both Lampard and John Terry have been the focus of media attention throughout the summer period regarding their contract talks. Terry signed a lucrative contract recently to pledge his future to the club. Lampard has 2 years remaining on his current contract but wishes to delay talks until the time is right.
