Uruguay’s goalkeeper Fernando Muslera revealed he felt “like I’m living a dream,” after his World Cup finals debut, last Friday’s 0-0 draw against France.

Muslera, who turns 24 today (Tuesday), said: “Playing as the first choice for my country against the French in front of over 60,000 spectators was fantastic.

 

“The save I made early on helped me get over the initial nerves and I was ready from that moment on to play a protagonist’s role in the match.”

Muslera may have to dig deep into his vocabulary again soon, as Uruguay’s next match will be against hosts South Africa.
