Former Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann has hailed the arrival of David Beckham to Major League Soccer. Despite lengthy layoffs due to injury Klinsmann believes the arrival of the superstar provided the impact everyone had hoped for.

Beckham’s arrival at LA Galaxy in July created a media frenzy seldom seen in the U.S. The move was followed by disappointment as Beckham was sidelined with 2 separate injuries. Klinsmann stated:
