Robbie Keane has moved to refute suggestions that he is ready to quit Liverpool just six months after joining his boyhood club from Tottenham Hotspurs.

 

It has been widely acknowledged that up until now Reds’ fans have not seen anywhere near the best of the Republic of Ireland striker. Following his arrival he has only managed to score four goals and this poor return has often seen him omitted from the Liverpool first team, despite the absence of Fernando Torres.

Keane said “I've only been here a few months but there's nothing I can do about speculation… If people want to create something that's not there it's up to them but there's no question in my mind, I will be a Liverpool player for a long time.
