Brazil talisman Kaka has backed his country to make amends for their disappointing World Cup four years ago by having a successful run in South Africa.

In 2006, the Brazilians crashed out at the quarter-final stage to France thanks to Thierry Henry’s winner but Kaka believes the current squad is good enough to go much further.

 

The Real Madrid midfielder will be making his third appearance at the World Cup and was part of the squad that triumphed in 2002.

And Kaka has backed coach Dunga, himself a World Cup winner from 1994, to find the right balance for the team as they go for a sixth title.

Kaka said: “At the moment the key is balance, we have a very balanced team and therefore the Brazilians are very strong.”

The former AC Milan star has tipped Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres and his own team-mate Luis Fabiano to excel in tournament and expects them to be in contention for the prestigious golden boot award.
