Ince Seals Grella TransferAustralian international Vincent Grella has completed a transfer to Premier League Blackburn Rovers for a reported £4 Million. The 28 year old has agreed terms on a four year contract and is new manager Paul Ince fifth signing this summer.
Speaking to the Official Blackburn Rovers website, Grella said "I'm very pleased to be here…the opportunity was there and I thought it would be good to measure myself against such a good league." For the majority of his career, Grella has played in Italian football. He began his career in Australia playing for several youth teams. He eventually moved to Serie A in 2004 when he signed for Empoli. He has since had spells at Ternana, Parma and Torino.
Grella is also an established Australian international having played for his country 36 times. He also represented Australia at the Sydney Olympics Games in 2000 and received acclaim for his performances in the World Cup in Germany in 2006.
