Hughes Ready For FergieManchester City boss Mark Hughes is ready to face his old club at Old Trafford and will enter his former stamping ground looking for a positive result. ![]() Despite the recent string of impressive performances by the Red Devils, Hughes is determined that the derby will not be a one-sided affair. "Irrespective of who we are up against on the pitch on Sunday, it's about us being positive," he said on City’s website, "We are going there in good heart and with confidence. We have won our last four games and you have to go to Old Trafford in the belief you can get something out of it. We are in good shape." Hughes acknowledged that it is not merely the starting eleven at United who engender fear into opponents but the firepower that can also be unleashed from the sidelines. "You look at the bench and they've still got great quality they can call upon” he said. Hughes will hope that he can call on the services of Shaun Wright-Phillips who has missed recent matches through injury. City remain in contention for a spot in next season’s UEFA Europa League and picking up at least a point in the Theatre Of Dreams will go a long way to that aim.
