Hodgson Gets Busy

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has begun to set out his stall in terms of squad changes during the transfer window.

 Okaka

20 year-old Roma graduate Stefano Okaka has agreed a six-month switch from the Italian capital to the English after spending time on loan at Modena and Brescia in previous years. The striker made his debut back in 2005 but has so far failed to establish himself as a regular at the Stadio Olympico. Subject to passing a medical he should fit in nicely into a squad that will be without Bobby Zamora for a few weeks after a shoulder dislocation. If he impresses, the loan could be extended to a year.

Meanwhile, Polish defender Kamil Glik has also bene linked with a move to Craven Cottage. The man who turned down a new contract at Real Madrid to join Piast Giiwice a couple of years ago is only 23 and has been attracting the attention of a host of clubs with his impressive form.

Fulham midfielder Dickson Etuhu was named in Nigeria’s starting line-up for their African Cup of Nations match against Egypt. He made his international debut in 2008 and will hope to have a successful campaign and secure his berth in the squad for the World Cup in South Africa during the summer.
