A summer transfer for Newcastle United captain Scott Parker to West Ham appears imminent. While Spurs have also shown interest in the £7m rated influential midfielder it is West Ham who look to come out in front.  Scott Parker is set to meet with club officials now a fee has been agreed between the 2 clubs. With the shock transfer request of Nigel Reo-Coker West Ham manager Alan Curbishley is looking for a replacement. Curbishley has also previously managed Parker when he played at Charlton.

Scott Parker has been a fixture at Newcastle United since the summer of 2005 when he completed a move for £6.5 million. Whilst he has played an important part in the Magpies side new manager Sam Allardyce is already eyeing up a replacement in out of favour and volatile midfielder Joey Barton from Manchester City.
