Gomes Comes Good

After a dreadful start to his Premier League career, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has found form at the right time and boss Harry Redknapp is sticking with him despite the arrival of Carlo Cudicini from Chelsea in January.

"He was excellent against West Ham," Redknapp said, “This fella has done well so I stayed with him.”

Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara has said that he thinks the team can make a final push for a Europa League place with a good final few games. Despite struggling for most of the season, the relative closeness of the middle of the table leaves Tottenham with an outside chance, dependent on results, of a top ten finish and even grabbing a European spot for next season. O’Hara said "I think now we have to be looking at seventh place. If we can keep on doing what we are doing, I think we can get there.”

One midfielder not currently feeling as optimistic is Jermaine Jenas who may miss the up and coming match against former club Newcastle as a result of the hamstring injury he sustained against West Ham.
