France coach Raymond Domenech will go into the match with a very young team, following an injury crisis which will keep his star players including Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Willy Sagnol and Louis Saha, out of the two Euro 2008 qualifying matches against Ukraine and Georgia.

Domenech has called on Jimmy Briand and Bakary Sagna into the squad. Samir Nasri, Karim Benzema, Lassana Diarra and Abou Diaby are expected to start the game, following impressive performances during the 1-0 win over Austria in March.

Ukraine start off the crucial qualifier match on a three match winning form. However coach Oleh Blokhin will be frustrated with the absence of three key players, who are out injured.

Andriy Shevchenko, Serhiy Rebrov and Artem Milevskiy miss the match due to injury, while Olexiy Gay is included following a long spell on the sidelines. Shevchenko sustained a groin injury late in the English season with Chelsea and had to have surgery. It is unclear if he is available for future matches in this qualifying round.

Blokhin admitted that lack of match practice could undo his team's chances of coming away with a victory.

"My biggest worry is that some of our candidates are lacking match practice at their respective clubs, mostly sitting on substitutes' bench", he said.

Ukraine are joint leaders in the group, along with France and Scotland, with 12 points each. Both Ukraine and France have played 5 matches while Scotland has played six.
