France 0-0 Paraguay
France drew 0-0 with Paraguay in their penultimate warmup game in Toulouse, leaving Raymond Domenech pondering as to how a team consisting some of Europe's most prolific forwards failed to find the back of the net despite creating numerous opportunities.
With Patrick Vieira missing this game after aggravating a thigh injury, Thierry Henry wore the captain's armband. Henry, Benzema, Anelka and Ribery combined well going forward, but unfortunately for the French, none of the moves culminated in a goal. The French have a week to regain their goal scoring touch as well as their fitness before Euro 2008 gets underway. Toulalan and Makelele had a good game in midfield, and even without William Gallas, the French defence was not really troubled. Aureliano Torres and Roque Santa Cruz however did force Gregory Coupet to make a few saves. Lassana Diarra, who replaced Makelele at half time, also had to clear off his own goal line in the 72nd minute.
France take on Colombia next to mark the end of their three friendlies against South American opposition.
