Foster To Start For Man Utd
Foster has been at the club for a couple of years now but has yet to make his debut. The goalkeeper spent all of last season playing for Watford on loan but returned to Manchester United for this season. He will start in the absence of Manchester United’s other two goalkeepers, Edwin Van Der Sar and Thomas Kuszczak. Van Der Sar is injured and Kuszczak picked up a red card during Manchester United’s FA Cup defeat to Portsmouth at the weekend. There had been some doubt over whether Sir Alex Ferguson was 100% confident of throwing Foster in for his debut but the Manchester United manager insists he is in no doubt that Foster can do a job. Foster was expected to make a loan move to a club in the Championship but Ferguson decided that it was more beneficial for foster to stay at Old Trafford and now thinks he is ready to start in the first team. Ferguson thinks Foster will establish himself as a big name over the next few years and expects the keeper to be a future England number 1.
