Fagan Suffers Broken LegIt has been announced by Hull City, that striker Craig Fagan has suffered a broken leg. The 25 year old was the victim of Danny Guthrie’s wild challenge at the end of the game between Hull and Newcastle United at Saint James Park last Saturday. Hull won the game 2-1 and Guthrie was shown a red card for the challenge that further added to Newcastle’s current troubles. Fagan was able to finish the game but afterwards he suffered pain and swelling. Club doctors have now carried out x-rays and subsequently have confirmed that the former Derby player has fractured his right tibia. He is expected to be absent for up to three months of the season.
Hull Manager, Phil Brown was less than impressed after the news broke. He said “It cannot be condoned…I think a red card and a three-game ban is insufficient to deal with somebody who has put a fellow player in a cast”.
Fagan joined Hull initially on loan last season before completing a £750,000 transfer from relegated Derby County in the summer.
