FA levies butt charge for Brown

Following Fulham’s 1-0 win over Liverpool on Saturday the English Football Association have levied a charge of violent conduct against Fulham midfielder Michael Brown. 30 year old brown was seen to clash with Xabi Alonso in an alleged headbutt incident which left the Spaniard with a bloody nose.

Michael Brown has until Wednesday evening to answer the charge levied before a disciplinary commission hearing on Thursday. The charge carries an automatic match ban of 3 games meaning that Brown would not only miss out on the last match of the season but also the first 2 games of next season. The actual incident was not seen by any of the officials at the game but was clear to the television audience and left Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez seething.
