Everton interested in CSKA duo?

If reports are to be believed, Everton are interested in signing CSKA Moscow's Brazilian duo of midfielder Dudu Cearanse and striker Jô. David Moyes is considering them as potential signings as he aims to improve upon the Merseyside club's fifth placed finish in the Premiership last season.

Jô moved to CSKA from Corinthians in 2006, and has been one of their star performers. He has also managed to force his way into the Brazilian national team, but a row with coach Dunga has restricted his chances of making it to the Seleção first 11. CSKA Moscow are reported to be looking for a fee in the 20 million pound range, but whether Moyes will splash out such a big amount on one player is another question. Manchester City are also in the running for the Brazilian.

With the departure of the experienced Lee Carsley to Birmingham City, Moyes needs to sign a replacement quickly, and Dudu could be the man. The former Rennes player is primarily a holding midfielder,
and at eight million pounds, may suit Moyes' requirements perfectly. Dudu's signing may see the doors close on Valencia's Manuel Fernandes, who was brought to Goodison Park on loan last season.
