Euro Glory Beckons For Cottagers
Fulham’s Ghanaian international John Pantsil is hoping that his injury blighted season can end on a high.
The full back missed out on competing for his country in the African Cup of Nations after sustaining a serious knee injury during December. His return to training has come at just the right time as the crucial Premier League games will test the squad as the distraction of a Europa League semi final clash with Hamburg comes ever closer.
Pantsil has completed reserve fixtures since recovering from surgery and he is delighted to be back in action. “To play a full 90 minutes against Aston Villa's reserves on Monday was fantastic and I'm looking to be involved with the first team again very soon," he told the club website. "The boys are doing so well and I'm really pleased with their performances but on the other hand I'm not happy that I'm not involved."
He could find himself involved in first team action fairly soon as the injury problems and comparatively small squad leave Roy Hodgson with limited options.
