Eredivisie Round Up February 2011![]() PSV Eindhoven head the Eredivisie by two points following a late surge against NAC Breda who had lost Nemanja Gudelj early on to two yellow cards. The leaders took advantage of their opponent’s loss by taking an early lead through Balazs Dzsudzsak but NAC fought back and equalised just after the hour when Anthony Lurling struck. However, it was short-lived as Jeremain Lens put through his own net and Ola Toivonen and Francisco Rodriguez saw PSV home with two late strikes. Second-placed FC Twente dropped two home points after coming behind against NEC Nijmegen who had Niki Zimling to thank for their early lead. Emir Bajrami brought Twenet level but they couldn’t break down a stubborn NEC defence in a feisty match which saw 9 bookings. Ajax stay third after beating struggling VVV-Venlo by a single Mounir El Hamdaoui goal at home. VVV’s miserable day was completed when Ken Leemans was dismissed late on. Gronigen fell back on the leading three after a surprise home reverse to Roda JC. Mads Junker was their nemesis grabbing a hat-trick before Nicklas Pedersen scored for the home team. However, hopes of a comeback were dashed when Boldiszr Bodor added a fourth for Roda. Willem 11 remain firmly rooted to the bottom after Excelsior eased nearer safety with a fine 4-0 win, Geert Arend Roorda helping himself to a brace in the process. Feyenoord looked set to emulate Excelsior by easing away from the bottom clubs after taking a two-goal lead over ADO Den Haag, Luc Castaignos scoring twice before half-time. However, in the last ten minutes Charlton Vicento put Den Haag back in the game and Dmitri Bulykin completed a fine fightback, leaving Feyenoord tottering 3 points above third from bottom Excelsior.
