Elm At Ease At The CottageFresh from scoring his first goal in a Fulham shirt, David Elm is ready to persuade his employers that he is worth them taking up the option of a two-year contract extension. A great performance against Burnley showed exactly what he is capable of and the Swedish striker feels he has finally found his feet in London. "It was good fun," he said of the Burnley game, "Everything went well. I am really enjoying myself now." Fulham boss Roy Hodgson was also impressed saying "David will be very encouraged by his goal but also by his marvellous cautioned header which set up Danny Murphy. He has been a bit of a revelation for us. He`s made quick progress up the pecking order and deserves to be there." Hodgson has reiterated his priorities this season by assuring fans that a strong side will be fielded in the FA Cup against Notts County. With a Europa League tie against Shaktahr Donetsk scheduled for the following week, Fulham remain focused on more than one front. However, Hodgson maintained that Europe was his third priority and that he will continue to field weaker teams as long as Fulham remained in the competition. "We will attack the FA Cup “said Hodgson. "But I'm not going to change by mind about the Europa League. My priority is still the league and the FA Cup." Tags: Fulham, David Elm, Roy Hodgson, FA Cup, Europa League Posted: |
