Eduardo Looking For ReturnArsenal’s Brazilian-born Croatian striker Eduardo has given Arsene Wenger’s side a huge lift by declaring that he is ready to return to first team action. ![]() The 25-year-old has not played a competitive first team match for the Gunners since suffering a career-threatening injury against Birmingham almost a year ago. The horrific injury of a fractured left fibula and dislocated left ankle followed a tackle by Brum’s Martin Taylor for which he was widely criticised. The 90 minutes played in the reserve fixture against Stoke City left the Croatian confident that his fitness has improved to such an extent that he can now challenge for a first team place. Eduardo said "I feel much stronger than I have and I'm very happy - I think I am ready for the first team but you would have to ask the boss. In my head and everything I am ready. I am just waiting for my chance."
