Richard Dunne remains upbeat about Manchester City’s prospects of qualifying for European football again this season. His comments come despite City dropping to fourth from bottom in the Premier League following the recent home defeat to Everton.

 

Despite the arrival of Robinho and the promise of multi-million pound investments in the January transfer window, Mark Hughes has struggled to make an impact at the City of Manchester Stadium.

However, despite the poor results club captain Dunne is quick to defend the situation. He said “We know results have not gone well…You look at the table and it doesn't look good…It is just things aren't going for us at the moment and we have enough belief in ourselves things will turn around”.

Despite the poor results City have at times drawn tremendous praise for their performances particularly for the home victories over Portsmouth (6-0) and Arsenal (3-0).
