After booking their place in the knock-out stages of South Africa 2010 by winning Group C, the USA believe that anything is possible. And LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan thinks that there is no reason they cannot reach at least semi-finals.

 

As they prepare to face Ghana, Bob Bradley’s side looked ahead to a possible quarter final clash with either Uruguay or South Korea and Donovan feels confident. “I can’t emphasise how big this opportunity is and we need to take advantage of it” he said, “There’s one home, you lose, you go home, the pressure is off and we can just go and enjoy it.”

Meanwhile, Bradley called for cheats to face harsh penalties from FIFA. He was speaking about the incident which saw Brazilian star Kaka dismissed although Abdel-Kader Keita appeared to greatly exaggerate the contact. “I’d be ashamed if I was the one doing it” said Bradley.
