Does everybody in France love Raymond? Well, some football fans are not going to be pleased with the national team manager after he proposed marriage to long term girlfriend Estelle Denis on national television just after Les Bleus went out of Euro 2008. France lost 0-2 to world champions Italy, and finished at the bottom of the Group of Death, with just one point to show for their efforts.

Ms. Denis, 31, is a journalist and works for French television channel M6 ( Métropole 6). The couple have two children- a girl named Victoire, and a boy named Merlin. Both children will be celebrating their birthdays next month.

Some sections of the French media have already called for Raymond Domenech resignation, but the French football Federation is expected to take a decision on his future in July.

Domenech has apologised for the timing of the proposal, saying that he should have been cold and professional instead of showing emotion.

Marriage may well be waiting for Domenech in his personal life, but separation from the French national team seems imminent. The 56 year old took over the reins of the French team from Jacques Santini in July 2004.
