Manchester City are leading the Premiership already when it comes to players bought this season. City made their fifth, sixth and seventh signings yesterday.

The most notable of the players to be brought in is Elano Blumer. Elano, 26, is a Brazil international and cost City 8.4 million dollars. He shot to fame by scoring a brace against Argentina at the Emirates stadium last year.

Also bought from Dinamo Zagreb is Croatian starlet Vedran Corluka. Corluka also has signed a four year deal and can play both at centre as well as right back. The fee is undisclosed.

Finally, City have also snapped up Spanish left back Javi Garrido from Real Sociedad for a cut-price deal reported to be around 1.5 million pounds. He lends options at the left back position which was ‘owned’ previously by Michael Ball.
