Brazilian striker Ronaldinho has spoken of his intention to remain in Italy and wants to win the Italian championship and the Champions League titles with Milan.

 

Despite his brother giving indications to the contrary, the former Barcelona player sees his future in Serie A and not at Eastlands. “Moving to Manchester City is not part of my intentions.” he said.

However, compatriot -City midfielder Elano - is in contention to face Bolton in the final match of the season after coming off at Tottenham after being poked in the eye. He will also be playing into June following his inclusion in the Brazilian squad for the Confederations Cup to be held in South Africa.

City are reportedly considering making another big money raid, this time for Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain. The 21-year moved from Argentinian side River Plate a couple of years ago but could be amongst a number of names likely to leave the Bernabeu when the presidential election is over.

Another possibly less likely link with a move to the blue side of Manchester is former United striker Diego Forlan. The Uruguayan disappointed in his stint at Old Trafford has scored regularly for Villarreal and latterly Atletico Madrid and would jump at another chance at playing Premier League football.
