French striker Djibril Cisse believes that new club Sunderland under the guidance of Manager Roy Keane are capable of finishing in a European place this season.

The former Liverpool and Marseille striker was speaking after the club gained a creditable score draw against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light. The 27 year is currently on loan with the Black Cats but is suitably impressed by the investment in the team during his time at the club.

He said “The club's objective is to become an outside contender for Europe in the near future…Everything is already in place, money and facilities, to develop a big project…Those in charge of the club are very ambitious and I believe they will be successful”.

Sunderland have so far won two of their first seven games in the Premier League this season.
