With Chelsea’s slip up against Newcastle, every match is crucial. Alladyce’s men will not help Chelsea at all and have got their own UEFA cup ambitions for next season.

Chelsea didn’t perform well last weekend and they must win all 3 points against Bolton to keep the pressure on Man Utd. Michael Ballack and Ricardo Calvalho are both doubts for the match against Bolton. With Champions League semi final on their mind Chelsea will need to concentrate on the task at home.  A win would mean that  Chelsea will keep the pressure on Man Utd and Chelsea will still need Man Utd to lose points to gain any ground.

Bolton haven’t performed well in the last few weeks. Matters are made worse by a large injury list including Kevin Nolan (ankle), Nicky Hunt (calf) and El-Hadji Diouf (hamstring), Tal Ben Haim (knee) and Abdoulaye Faye (groin) all struggling with injuries. With these 5 players who are unlikely to be fit for the game it is looking hard to see where Bolton will find the momentum and form to topple the title contenders.
