Charlton v Sheff Utd

This game could be the biggest match in both teams season. Both teams were desperate for the points and whoever won would climb our of the relegation zone. This huge match fizzled and came in for a 1-1 draw. Both teams will be disappointed they did not capitalize against weaker opposition.

The first half didn’t see much action the first goal didn’t come about until the 59th minute. The home team took the lead with a long range strike from Karkouri. It only took 10 minutes for a reply off the away team from striker Jonathan Stead, who got a excellent ball through off Colin Kazim-Richards scoring inside the box to draw things level. Neither side looked like they would score in the last 20 minutes and the game ended 1-1. Man of the Match was Matthew Kilgallon

This result means that Charlton stay in bottom 3 with 4 games left, they do need to gather some points but there are definitely in a fighting chance to stay up. Alan Pardew’s men have really done well lately, and with Darren Bent back there can stay up.

Sheff Utd will probably be happier with one point because they are still above the relegation zone and it is in their own hands to stay out of the drop.
